It took ages to find a high quality trailer for the new ‘Star Trek Movie‘.
It looks from this new ‘Star Trek Movie‘ trailer like James Kirk was a mischievous little shit as a boy, presumably the mysterious alien-robot-thing encourages him to try harder.
I think showing the origins of the ‘Star Trek‘ characters and how they came to be on the Enterprise will bring more ‘human interest’ to ‘Star Trek‘ which in the last decade began to revolve more around technology than people; maybe the reason for it’s decline?
I like the gritty, blue collar Earth in this new ‘Star Trek Movie‘ trailer. It seems from the trailer that J.J. Abrams has gone for a blue collar Earth like in ‘Aliens‘ rather than a lush, beautiful, utopian Earth usually seen in ‘Star Trek‘ movies.
What car is it that James Kirk is driving and probably stolen in the trailer? I have no idea about cars, least of all American ones.
Looks awesome, but I never enjoyed James Kirk’s adventures on the Enterprise.
Hang me if you must, but I always thought of James Kirk as a complete buffoon.

I imagined us being laughed at by alien races when Kirk arrives on the scene.
Now Picard… no one fucks with Picard in a military, or political sense.
James Kirk was of the era when space was the new wild west. 1960’s viewers wanted a shit-kicking cowboy to fly around the galaxy fucking up people’s civilisations, taking their resources and fucking their women; the American Dream.
I think new James Kirk will be better, more civilised; but still no Picard.
I dont have any Star Trek wisdom, but I will say that this new Star Trek Movie looks hardcore.

Ta muchly for the trailer - looks absolutely stunning, I enjoy Trek but I am far from being a fanatic - looks like this may have a stand alone, broad appeal and draw in a new audience.

I think this movie will rock and bring back some of the cult-like appeal it once enjoyed. Bring back the TV series based on this movie if it enjoys rave reviews and stop milking the moviegoers already!
