The Day the Earth Stood Still - 2008
‘The Day the Earth Stood Still‘ is a 2008 remake of a 1951 film of the same name which (thought I have not seen it) is something of a sci-fi classic.
‘The Day the Earth Stood Still‘ will be released in the US on Dec 12 2008 and will star Keanu Reeves. Apparently Keanu Reeves dislikes remakes but ‘was impressed by the script’ and saw it as more of a reimagining than a remake.
So they gave him a load of money basically is what I’m getting from that, give me enough money and I’ll say anything, I’ll say that Norwegian Cheese is Spanish Cheese if you want. But that don’t necessarily make it fuckin’ so.
Anyway I digress, I want to see ‘The Day the Earth Stood Still‘ 1951 before I see this new one, just so I have something to compare it against.
Keanu Reeves might be listed as the star of ‘The Day the Earth Stood Still‘ but I think from the poster it’s obvious who the real stars are… jet aircraft!
