Myself, DJ and Chris saw SlipKnot in London at the Hammersmith Apollo last night; they were awesome, again, like the Knot always are!
Its the fifth time me and DJ have seen SlipKnot; but Chris’ seventh! Even after ten years the Knot are still fresh and exciting. We all enjoyed it and like I always say:
…SlipKnot were even better than the last time I saw them.
SlipKnot played a very entertaining and eclectic set, featuring a lot of material they don’t normally play with some staple anthems like ‘Disasterpieces‘ missing entirely.
SlipKnot’s set list was an excellent balance all four albums that really got the crowd pumping. They had a stunning light show and amazing pyrotechnics, making full use of Hammersmith Apollo’s huge stage.

SlipKnot are playing three consecutive nights at London’s Hammersmith Apollo as part of their European ‘All Hope Is Gone‘ Tour and I’m assuming each night they’ll play a radically different set.
This morning DJ is black and blue with moshpit bruises and I ache all over. I usually see SlipKnot at a festival like Download, so it was good to see them at their own gig.
Everyone in the SlipKnot pit at Hammersmith Apollo was there to pit; there were no softies that I could see and plenty of pit marshals pushing the crowds back and opening it up.
c’mon the Knot!
Are you seeing SlipKnot on their ‘All Hope Is Gone‘ Tour?
What did you think?

Sounds awesome - the SlipKnot lads have been given nothing but great reviews so far.
SlipKnot have gone from starting out as a bit of a gimmick, to cementing their place as the foremost metal band of this generation.

Can you remember the running order? Want to catch the support bands tomorrow, wonder when to get there.

I’d get there early, maybe 7.30pm. I heard Children of Bodom started at about 7.30.
We spent a lot of time in a pub opposite called The Trout (because we didn’t want to queue in the cold) and ended up missing Children of Bodom and MachineHead.
I didn’t mind missing Children of Bodom and MachineHead as I’ve seen them both a few times before and wanted to be as drunk as possible for SlipKnot.
