I’ve seen Does It Offend You, Yeah? before when they supported Hadouken! at the iTunes festival and quite liked them. Since then I’ve not really heard anymore about them but was happy to see them again.

Heaven is a nice venue, a long bar, alcoves with seating and great accoustics and lighting. It’s a subterreanian venue in the railway arches underneathy Charing Cross station and good pubs sit at either end of the arcade it’s situated on.

The first band on were incredible, they sounded very retro-electro, everything sounded polished, exciting and almost familiar, despite it being the first time I’d heard it. Sadly we only caught the trail end of them and I don’t even remember their name. I must find out!

The second band were called Trip whom I can only describe as Jamie T meets Hadouken!. Trip were good but I felt like they were not just not upto the musical standard of the first band and their lyrical and vocal style was in the vein of Jamie T but not as polished. So all in all I wasnt very impressed with them, though they definately have potential!

When Does It Offend You, Yeah? finally came out myself and Mish dived into the crowd and started to open up a bit of a pit-space amongst the indie limeys.

Does It Offend You, Yeah? were brilliant and I was quite drunk. I have to confess to not owning their album or properly knowing any of their songs, but I really enjoyed myself.

I will be buying their album with my next pay check!

I have to admit of never previously hearing of this drum and bass DJ from Guildford (only about 20 miles from me), but he seems to’ve taken the scene by storm.

Chris has been hyping it and everytime I look up Deadmau5 I see related links to Sub Focus.

However, Sub Focus has been releasing singles since 2003 and has so far clocked up 10, one of which got to number one in the UK Dance chart.

Yesterday Sub Focus published this remix of Empire of the Sun’s track, We Are The People. I checked out Sub Focus’ single Rock It on YouTube and it’s actually brilliant!

I saw Alexisonfire last night at the HMV Forum, Kentish Town, London.

Alexisonfire were great and a great time was had by all. Thanks to Stokes for driving myself and Scott up there and it was good to see Sami and Ben in the crowd too.

Alexisonfire were supported at the HMV Forum by Ghost of a Thousand, who were pretty good and Anti-Flag who should really have been better considering how long they’ve been about. But still, a great night.

This pint sized female rapper is a lyrical genius, a mischievious performer and absolutely gorgeous in my opinion.

Lady SOV has gone from very chav-ilicious beginnings, wearing tracksuits everywhere she went, to a more electro-geek / grime-indie kinda style. And of course, anything geeky or unusual, I love.

When Lady Sovereign came on stage at Reading Festival 2009 in a Sonic The Hedgehog tshirt; I did a sex-wee. I think Luke O’Neil did one as well.

Lady Sovereign is a one-Woman Grime-Wave; the biggest midget in the game. She’s hot in my opinion. Comments welcome, feel free to agree or disagree.
